Oh, James, James, James! I'm sorry you picked the "fake, gay moon landing" as an example! So what's happened to those "Seekers" in the last 70 or 80 years? Has this "effect" been studied in other cultures & countries? Don't most other countries & languages have their own cults? Are they similar, or different from the "Seekers?

There is a "quick cure" for this cognitive dissonance, however. Acceptance. Accepting one's cognitive dissonance reduces it's severity drastically. The degree & speed of relief is determined by the degree & speed of acceptance. The brain truly IS like a muscle. Proper daily exercise yields strong healthy muscles, whether brains or brawn!

And yes, physical exercise itself does lead to better mental health, duh! Literally, it's all connected!
