I have found over the years that out Progressive Brothers & Sister, are not so stupid, it that they are Ignorant. They don't Know as much (on any given subject) as they think they do. What is worse is No Curiosity.
Very true, Steve! Our educational system is to blame for a lot of what you claim. Additionally, many people believe that experts are the only dependable source of information. That’s why the pandemic was so chaotic when a regular person could have understood how masks were useless, and that healthy children had little risk of hospitalization and mortality with Covid. It also took very little effort to discover CDC statistics reporting high mortality rate due to Covid as a result of comorbidities like diabetes and obesity. Instead, people waited for experts to make decision for them.
