Thank you for this James. Charlie was a force of nature, a prodigy, and someone I looked up to. He inspired me to become more eloquent, because I knew I could grow into better dialogue.

I was glad to learn more. I’m sorry for your loss, James. Thanks for sharing. If I could encourage you: One of the worst possible things would be if Charlie’s death resulted in your contemplating Christ less, or if you let poor examples of the faith influence your disposition towards the faith more than him. May his example of the faith be evergreen for you. And I hope it does move you someday to a place of confessing the faith for yourself.

That was beautiful and powerful, and hearing it in your voice gave your message even greater depth and weight than when I read it on X. I am so moved by your description of your and Charlie’s friendship; what a gift you each were to the other. My deepest condolences for such a precious loss.

Charlie belongs to history now, and those who absorbed the truth and method of his life will carry it on. I'm so sorry for you, his family, the nation for losing 50-60 years of his leadership.
