James, I'm enjoying your analyses. I was involved in politics in the late 1980s, mainly related to school issues in Seattle. Your description of the left's techniques has been an experience in deja vu. I remember one committee meeting with supporters of forced busing. The idea was that we could (perhaps) come to some common understanding of the problem (middle class flight from Seattle ... which was denied by the establishment despite census data demonstrating the issue.) After hearing a demand that we agree with their presumptions, I said we were all free to express an opinion and I was quite willing to tolerate their expression of their views. This lite a fire under one of them and he shouted at me that he "tolerated Mormons" but he demanded more from us. This pretty much ended the attempt to find common ground. (None of us were Mormons, but a Jewish colleague was later accused of being a Nazi.) This has been going on for four decades. I had no idea that the process was so well documented. Keep up the good work!

Loved watching Senator John Kennedy use your tactic of reading the books. 😀

This could pair up nicely with the pod focusing on the Chinese "elemental" approach. Bump that post if you can, so that it's fresh in everyone's mind. I'll go look for it to give it a tweet.

Thanks for this topic-
