I've been listening through the long form series and very much like it.
I see one logical hole that could be tightened up in the framing though. There is one very important difference between Germany's problems in the 1920s and our problems now, namely, that Germany was not the world hegemon at the time, and the United States was able to stop them. A possible hypothesis could be that the lack of hegemonic power was a sine qua non of the disaster, so if you run the experiment again without a strong external power that would fight back (such as in the current day United States), different results would come.
As a matter of morality, we certainly don't want to test that hypothesis, but for the nasty people whom you are arguing against, they could use that hypothesis as an alternative explanation of the failure of the experiment.
Modern European thought, which grows out of the Christian culture that came before it, has as it's strength the ability to incorporate it's own opposition. If the risk is that you have the potential to reverse the attribution of value and what is good becomes bad and what is bad becomes good, the solution is not to become inflexible. The ability to adapt will continue to be a strength because it's the rigidity that caused the perspective to flip in the first place so the way to bring things back into balance is to accept the existence of the things we do not like but cannot change.
Nobody asks why the National Socialist party did what it did and why the outcome was a failure other than the wars end. General Patton summed up his views before he was murdered when he said we lost the war and if you look around one cannot help but agree.
The West has fallen and is sinking fast with a third world war bursting at the seams pushed by many of the same players as the first two wars.
Central Bankers that is! The end of the Central Banks across the planet will push this current war to fruition for sure in our time. One of the first acts NSDAP exercised was the removal of the Central Banking entity in Germany and thats when the fun started. The exact same thing will happen in America when DJT removes Powell and the Central Bank PRIVATE crooks from the financial board. Hopefully the other nations will follow suit to castrate the "war makers" from their purse of absolute murder. Deus Vult!!!!
Fun fact, Antifa was born during that time. But what many don't know and what Antifa wants you to forget (but what you can google yourself and what's even on the German Wikipedia) is that the "fascist" in "Anti-Fascist" did NOT refer to the National Socialists, but to their common enemy, the SPD (social democrats) in power in the Weimar Republic. So they actually helped each other to overthrow the Weimar Republic which (at the time) were their only enemy and which were labeled as the only fascists because Antifa didn't see them as being socialist enough, whereas the National Socialists were NOT seen as fascists and were seen as at least more socialist than the SPD. So the National Socialists were (at least originally) NOT seen as the enemy of Antifa at all. The "fascists" were the social democrats for not being socialist enough!
Interesting. Why was the SPD called or considered to be “fascist” when the only actual fascist party at the time was the Italian Fascist party of Mussolini?
It was used as a derogatory label even back then and even back then it was always applied to whoever was in power at that time no matter if it actually made sense or not, cause whoever is in power is seen as the obstacle to them gaining power.
